Due to library closures, all print PAEs are currently unavailable for borrowing. For HKS affiliates, the Library can provide access to PAEs from 2020 which were submitted digitally. To get copies of those PAEs, please email HKS affiliates can also access PAE Samples in KNet.

Go to HOLLIS to search for all PAEs in the Harvard Library catalog. Enter "policy analysis exercise" or "second year paper" using quotes to find a list of all PAEs or SYPAs. Add additional search terms like an author's name, keywords to locate a specific topic, or a date. For student scholarship authored from 2011-2019, you can limit your search results to a specific HKS academic area by adding the academic area abbreviation as a keyword.

The most recent two years of PAEs and SYPAs are held in print on reserve at the HKS Library Services Desk. To borrow a PAE or SYPA, please provide us with the title, author and year of the publication.  If the PAE or SYPA is held at the Harvard Depository, click on Request Item to have it delivered to the HKS Library.

PAEs and SYPAs are only available to active Harvard affiliates with a Harvard Key. These items are for in-library use only.
