Q. Does Harvard have agreements with libraries at other universities for on-site use and borrowing?

Current students, faculty and staff can request books that are currently unavailable at Harvard Library through Borrow Direct, a shared catalog of the following participating Ivy League schools:

• Columbia University
• Cornell University
• Dartmouth College
• Duke University
• Johns Hopkins University
• Massachusetts Institute of Technology
• Princeton University
• University of Chicago
• University of Pennsylvania
• Yale University

Materials requested through Borrow Direct take 1-4 business days to arrive and can be picked up and returned at any Harvard Library location. These items are loaned for 16-week periods (no renewals).
