Baker Library provides access to specialized business databases that are not available campus-wide.

The complete list of databases provides details. If the access indicated is HU PIN, access using your Harvard ID and PIN.  Those that indicate Authorized Baker Visitors must use the database at Baker Library.

These databases, only accessible at Baker Library, may be useful to the HKS community:

  • Thomson One: Features market quotes, earnings estimates, financial fundamentals, press releases, transaction data, corporate filings, ownership profiles and research from Thomson Financial. Contains many analyst reports on public companies.

  • Bloomberg Academic – 2 terminals – no downloading: Current and historical financial information on individual equities, stock market indices, fixed-income securities, currencies, commodities, and futures for both international and domestic markets.

  • DataStream: Historical, global coverage of equities, stock markets, commodities, futures, currencies, options, bond markets, company financials, and economic data.

  • Standard & Poor’s NetAdvantage: Detailed descriptions of companies, industries, and mutual funds.

  • IMD World Competitiveness Online: Screen for countries on criteria related to domestic economy, international trade, international investment, government efficiency, business efficiency and infrastructure

All HKS students, faculty, and staff are welcome at Baker Library. Computers for visitor use and research assistance are located in the Stamps Reading Room.
