Baker Library provides access to specialized business databases that are not available campus-wide.

The complete list of databases provides details. Those that indicate Authorized Baker Visitors must use the database onsite at Baker Library.  

These database are only accessible at Baker Library:

  • Thomson ONE: Features market quotes, earnings estimates, financial fundamentals, press releases, transaction data, corporate filings, ownership profiles and research from Thomson Financial. Contains many analyst reports on public companies.

  • Bloomberg  – Current and historical financial information on individual equities, stock market indices, fixed-income securities, currencies, commodities, and futures for both international and domestic markets.

  • DataStream: Historical, global coverage of equities, stock markets, commodities, futures, currencies, options, bond markets, company financials, and economic data.

  • Standard & Poor’s NetAdvantage: Detailed descriptions of companies, industries, and mutual funds.The Industry Surveys cover industry trends, forecasts, major players and market share data, key ratios, and statistics. 

  • IMD World Competitiveness Online: Screen for countries on criteria related to domestic economy, international trade, international investment, government efficiency, business efficiency and infrastructure 

  • Frost & SullivanReports and market trends encompassing various technology-, energy-, and manufacturing-related fields. 
  • Global Financial Data: Economic and financial time-series database covering 150 countries and 6,500 different data series. Data on stock markets available from 1690, exchange rates from 1590, interest rates from 1700, commodities from 1500, and inflation from 1264.
  • Hoover’s OnlineOverviews, major industry trends, industry links, and IPO information for public, private, and international companies.
  • MSCI ESG Research: A suite of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) research and analysis products from MSCI.

‚ÄčAll HKS students, faculty, and staff are welcome at Baker Library. Computers for visitor use and research assistance are located in the Stamps Reading Room.
