The HKS Library has purchased text mining access to select Proquest Congressional hearings and Congressional Records documents for all Harvard affiliates. Text mining includes the full-text of all documents and their accompanying metadata. The database coverage is listed below:

  • House and Senate Published Hearings (1824-2003)
  • House Unpublished Hearings (1973-1980)
  • Senate Unpublished Hearings (1985-1990)
  • Congressional Record (1789-1997)

More recent Congressional Hearings can be downloaded from FDsys but may not have complete coverage.

HKS affiliates should contact Valerie Weis to obtain text mining access to these files.
