Harvard affiliates have access to the following services:

  • IQSS workshops and individual consultations on software programs that could be used text mining projects such as Python and R (Consultations limited to research projects that result in publication)
  • Lamont Library Multi-Media Lab support (focus on using software such as Adobe and ABBYY FineReader to convert documents from PDFs to OCR'd text). Lamont Multi-Media Lab may offer additional consulting services based on student worker expertise.
  • Harvard Library purchased text mining access to select databases

In addition, HKS faculty may contact Harvard's Digital Arts and Humanities (DARTH) group to schedule text mining consultations.
