Faculty assistants, research assistants and other research staff who borrow books on behalf of Harvard University teaching faculty members may obtain a Harvard Library Research Assistant (RA) card from the Widener Library Privileges Office. RA cards are separate borrower’s cards that are issued in the faculty member’s name. The card holder can borrow books from Harvard Libraries and check them out directly to the requesting faculty member. The Research Assistant card application can be downloaded from this Fast Answer.

See this Harvard Library Research Assistants page for more details.
