We have purchased access to county level data for Presidential Primary and Election Results for select election years. They are available to all Harvard affiliates through Harvard's Dataverse. Date coverage and content is listed below.

  • Presidential primary results: 2000-2016 election years.
  • Presidential election results: 1948-2016 election years.

While the data is available for download, the Explore option is currently not functioning.

To access, go to Dataverse. In the upper right corner, click on Log In. Select Harvard University near Your Institution and then enter your Harvard Key when prompted. Then select either the Dave Leip Presidential Primary Election Results or the Dave Leip Presidential General County Election Results Dataset.

See Dave Leip's FAQ for details on data sources.
