At HKS you have access to two great resources that help you learn more about different research methods.

  1. HKS Research Methods on Demand
  2. SAGE Research Methods Online

HKS Research Methods on Demand is a resource built by HKS faculty and librarians to:

  • Explore qualitative methods and supplement your knowledge of quantitative methods included in core MPP and MPA/ID courses
  • Find introductions to a range of research methods and key readings.
  • Review model PAEs, SYPAs and examples of methods work masters students have used in their research

More content is being added every week so keep checking this site for new information.

SAGE Research Methods Online is a research methods tool created to help researchers, faculty and students with their research projects. Along with content from dictionaries, encyclopedias, and handbooks, it includes the entire Little Green Book (quantitative methods) and Little Blue Book (qualitative methods) series as well as a collection of case studies of real social research. You can also view reading lists of key research methods and statistics resources. Content within this resource is also linked to from HKS Research Methods on Demand.
